Sierra Club comments on MoDOT I-70 truck-lane proposal.

The Sierra Club has submitted comments on Missouri Department of
Transportation's ( MoDOT's) Supplemental Environmental Impact
Statement ( SEIS) for truck-only lanes on I-70. The SEIS is
flawed in several ways, not the least of which is that it doesn't
consider the very different "environment" of global factors now
compared to 1999 when the original EIS was begun. In addition,
while it touts truck-only lanes as a safety feature, it overlooks the
very real hazard introduced when slower-moving trucks would cross
faster general-purpose lanes to reach exits. Read our comment
